Congratulations are in order this morning, with the announcement that Northern Irish professional golfer Graeme McDowell has become a father once again.

The 37-year-old and his wife, Kristin Stape, are celebrating the birth of their second child, a beautiful son.

Graeme took to his social media channels to share the wonderful news with his fans, posting a gorgeous shot of the couple’s two-year-old daughter Vale Esme bonding with her new baby brother.

“Baby Wills Edson McDowell, born Monday at 9lbs 1oz. Momma and baby doing great, and Dada very proud,” read the caption.

Needless to say, Graeme’s 134K-strong Instagram following went googly-eyed over the photo, with congratulatory messages coming in thick and fast.

“What an adorable daughter you have. Congratulations on your beautiful baby boy,” gushed one fan, while another predicted baby Wills to become a ‘future golfer’.

The golfing star previously admitted that the joys of marriage and fatherhood had, at times, caused him to lose interest in his training.

“I’ve been wrestling a little bit with my level of motivation the last 12 months, with getting married and having a baby and all the exciting things happening in my life…I haven’t felt the same desire and urge to go out there and grind and practice, and that’s affected my game,” he said in interview with Sky Sports last year.
