The Iron Man star, who once said that her previous experience of the Met Gala ‘sucked’, took to Instagram to fill her followers in on what she had been up to while the stars enjoyed a night of partying.
It’s clear that Gwyneth’s mothering duties won out in the end, with the star posting a sweet photo of 10-year-old daughter Apple looking adorable in a blue onesie and giant monster slippers.
“This was the red carpet in my house last night,” wrote the 42-year-old, who is also mum to nine-year-old son Moses.
Commenting after her last appearance at the Gala, in 2013, Gwyneth was refreshingly honest about the star-studded affair, saying: “I’m never going again. You always think, ‘Oh my God, it’s gonna be so glamorous and amazing and you’re going to see all these people’, and then you get there and it’s so hot and crowded and everyone’s pushing you.’
Gwyneth’s latest Instagram post comes just weeks after the star and her former husband, Chris Martin, made their divorce official.
