Hilaria and Alec Baldwin welcomed a beautiful baby boy into their family earlier in the month, but the family has been through quite the ordeal recently.

Taking to Instagram, mum-of-four Hilaria revealed that she was diagnosed with pneumonia shortly after her son was born

She wrote: “It’s been quite an adventurous week with highs and lows...Romeo was born last Thursday and is a complete joy...however, I was also diagnosed with pneumonia.”

She explained that her other children Rafa and Leo have the flu and daughter Carmen came home from school with pink eye.

The mum wrote, “Tumultuous to say the least, and, for a family that rarely gets sick, definitely a foreign experience.”

Thankfully, the Baldwin clan are starting to get better. “We are all on the mend, and fortunately, so far, Romeo is super healthy.”

“It’s been tough getting our new family of 6 oriented with all of the necessary quarantining,” the mum admitted.

We all know how intense those first few weeks with your newborn are, so dealing with poorly children, and a case of pneumonia too sounds like a complete nightmare. We have so much respect for Hilaria for being so positive!

She added, “The recovery from birth, the beginnings of breastfeeding again, the sleepless nights, taking care of sick toddlers, dr visits, my own health...I just keep on saying ‘we got this’.”

The 34-year-old added that it hasn’t always been easy, “I have definitely had my stressed out moments and have had to practice lots of breathing and perspective, trying to stay as calm and positive as possible.”

“I’m looking forward to renewed health for my family, and one day, to look back and have a little laugh. #WeGotThis2018,” she added.

Thankfully, the family are on the mend and little Romeo is as healthy as ever.

Hilaria’s positive attitude is infectious!
