We love a good parody vid – and this might just be our new favourite.
We know the hit Firth Harmony song features the word ‘work’ in it a LOT – which is why it’s the perfect video to parody for stay-at-home-mums. Because while they’re not in ‘work work’ – as in offices, watercoolers and manila folders – stay-at-home-mums are still in WORK.
This is the perfect video for any stay-at-home mum who has ever felt unappreciated – which is probably all of us at one point or another – because it shows just how tiring raising children actually is. Fulfilling, yes, important, hella yes, but all-consuming and at times soul-sucking? Yes.
There’s this frustrating misconception that the parent who works in an office, shop, factory etc. is working harder than the mum who’s at home, but this parody nips that in the bud perfectly. For one thing, the parent that works outside the home can actually go to the toilet alone.
