We’re starting to think there’s something in the water in Hollywood. After a summer of split announcements from some of our favourite celebrity couples, it’s a case of ‘another one bites the dust’ today.

According to reports, comedienne and actress Amy Poehler has split from her boyfriend of two years, actor Nick Kroll.

A source confirmed the news to Us Weekly, citing their hectic careers as the reason behind their split.

“Unfortunately, they just couldn’t make the relationship work with their schedules. They really tried, but it just wasn’t realistic anymore. They were spending more time apart than together,” the source explained.

Amy and Nick, who previously shared the screen in Parks and Recreation, went public with their romance back in June 2013. The pair stepped out as a couple at the Hollywood Life Achievement Award Gala, following a string of reports that they were an item.

Amy was previously married to actor and Blades of Glory co-star Will Arnett. The pair, who announced their separation in 2012, have two children together: six-year-old Archie and four-year-old Abel.

A multi-tasking mum, the 44-year-old previously opened up about the difficulties of being a working mother, criticising those who described it as being ‘easy’.
