A representative for the couple confirmed this weekend that Sophie has given birth to a son.
In a statement issued to People magazine, the representative said: “Benedict Cumberbatch and Sophie Hunter are delighted to announce the arrival of their beautiful son.”
They added: “We would kindly ask everyone to respect the family’s privacy during these next few precious weeks.”
While no details have been released as of yet regarding the baby’s name, birth date or weight, we will keep you updated.
Rumours were rife in the New Year that the couple were expecting, and Benedict went on to confirm the wonderful news in January.
The couple exchanged vows in a beautiful ceremony on the Isle of Wight, on Valentine’s Day. Bride Sophie looked absolutely stunning on the day, showing off her blossoming bump in a custom-made Valentino gown.
