Not that any of us need an excuse to have an ice-cold G&T, but what if we told you that you could make your own gin?
Literally, we're talking about attending a class where you will distill your very own beverage!
Nelson's Distillery is offering a very special "gin experience day" where you will create your very own unique signature gin recipe - led by the expert master distiller of course.
According to the website, "The day starts at 10.00am with coffee. Following an introduction to the day, students relax with a G&T, then begin to learn about the process of making gin and select the botanicals for use in their own gin."
"At 12.00pm, the process of distilling commences, and each student has their own mini-still in which to work. At 1.30pm, there is a break for a leisurely lunch and at approximately 2.30pm there is a tour around our main stall (called 'Victory'). By 3.00pm, students begin to bottle and label their own gin."
Oh, and your unique signature recipe will be recorded and kept for if you wish to re-order your personal bottle of gin - how handy?
Apparently, the students can make any type of gin they like, because they choose their own botanical. This could be anything from fresh lavender to lime or basil to strawberries.
Ultimately, you will leave with a 70cl bottle of glorious gin made by yourself, along wit a special bottle.
"Students will design their bottle, cork and then hand seal their gin in hot wax," - sorry but how gorgeous does that sound?
As you'd expect, the gin-making class isn't exactly cheap - but remember, it is a once in a life time experience.
The full day costs £130, but when you actually break that down, it doesn't seem to bad!
This would be such a great Christmas gift for the gin-lover in your life!
