When a mum and dad were in a car crash with their nine-month-old son they were brought to the nearest hospital in Jerusalem.

Unfortunately though, Dad didn’t make it, and Mum was suffering from critical head injuries.

However, miraculously, their nine-month-old baby boy soldiered through, but when he became hungry while staying in the hospital his grandmother wasn’t sure how to soothe the tot.

The family tried vehemently to feed the child through a bottle, but baby Yaman just would not accept.

For seven hours Yaman didn't eat a thing and cried persistently, his family feeling helpless.

But when his aunt asked passing nurse, Ula Ostrowski-Zak, if she knew anyone that could help, the nurse suggested that she would wet nurse for the baby.

Ula is mum to an 18-month-old baby girl, and the caring nurse understood the baby’s needs, she stated to Ynetnews:

“As a nursing mother, I didn't hesitate and suggested that I do it myself. I fed him five times.”

“His aunts embraced me and thanked me. They were really surprised,” she added.

When Ula’s shift had ended, the family were unsure what they would do next, but Ula took to La Leche League, a breastfeeding support group, and their response was filled with an outpouring of support from women who wanted to volunteer or help in anyway.

This is one of the kindest and most caring stories we have heard; women are truly amazing, there is no lengths a mother wouldn't go to.

Have you ever been faced with a situation where you felt the need to help out like this?
