Breastfeeding is a journey which requires plenty of support, be it your partner, a friend, or an online forum, you take all the help you can get.

It's tough but worthwhile, and many mums would agree the moments shared with their babies during that period is uniquely special.

Mum-of-two, Chris, has posted a snap to social media showing us how her partner was there for her during her breastfeeding journey, and it's absolutely adorable.

The mum to a three-year-old and 11-month-old baby, Chris shares her breastfeeding journey alongside her partner: "When I had my son I couldn't breastfeed more than four months."

"I was extremely insecure to nurse in public. I felt very alone and didn't have much of his support as he was going through his own struggles in life."

Nonetheless, Chris' journey on her second child has been vastly different, and Cee has been there to support her in any way possible: "The second time around with my daughter I made sure when I was pregnant with her to communicate to my spouse that I really needed him this time around."

"I needed his support and encouragement and for him not to let me give up when I wanted to. He didn't realize how much I needed his support until I actually opened my mouth and expressed it to him and boy has he come through."

Chris reveals that there was certain times she found harder than others, but with the support of Cee, she didn't give up, with Cee even spending many nights running errands to pick up nipple shields, and Chris feels this is what has helped her succeed.

"He has done things so much differently for me this time around and it has helped me succeed in so many ways. He is sometimes the biggest pain in my ass but more times he is my biggest fan and supporter."

The day Chris shared her thoughts, Cee had done something which made her smile and remember how much is he rooting for her on her breastfeeding journey.

"Today we ran a few errands with the kids before he went to work. I didn't have pads on and leaked out in public. Of course I didn't have anything to cover it and my hair is not in any condition to be worn down so this dude grabs a napkin and water and dabs his nipple so I wouldn't be alone."

"Everyday we recognise the mums who breastfeed but today I just wanted to give a little shout out to my biggest fan," concluded the mum-of-two.

Communication is key mums, and just look at the difference it really can make.
