This eight-year-old boy is braver than most adults.  After seeing his mum Lori suffer from breast cancer for the past three years, little Tristan Wright has had to grow up very quickly.

Throughout her cancer battle, the brave little boy has supported his mum. Lori is a single mother and Tristan has been a source of comfort to her during her illness and treatments.

Lori has stage four metastatic breast cancer which means the cancer has spread from her breast to other parts of her body.

Unfortunately, Lori is now running out of money for her treatments and needs more expensive treatments to both manage her pain and to help prolong her life. The anxiety and stress of her financial difficulties is making her condition even worse.

She’s set up a GoFundMe page in the hopes that she will raise enough money to pay for the treatment that will allow her to see “her little boy become a man.”

The appeal reads: “Lori has been fighting stage 4 metastasized breast cancer for the last 3 years. Her 8 year old son Tristan, has endured this marathon of watching his mum go through all types of pain and heartache over this time.

“Until now, it's been tolerable, however Lori's condition has reached a critical point that requires countless, expensive treatments to not only manage the pain, but to sustain her life so she can watch her little boy become a man.

“As a single mum, her finances have run completely dry leaving her nowhere to go from here but to ask for the kindness and generosity of the good people of the world to help prolong her life for both her and her son.

“Please put yourself in her position. The financial stress only feeds the problem. We can help alleviate that burden for both of them by giving just a little bit each.”

It’s accompanied by photos of Lori in hospital, Tristan and Lori in happier times and an incredible shot of Tristan cuddling a sick Lori.

Lori is hoping to raise $30,000 Australian dollars (£18K) to fund her treatment and so far her appeal has raised $22,797 (just over £13K) from generous donors who have been touched by her sad story.
