Jessica Stubbins from Scunthorpe in England, made headlines around the world after footage captured her giving birth to her daughter in less than a minute in a hospital lobby emerged.

After feeling a "twinge", Jessica's husband Tom dropped her at the hospital entrance before driving off to find a parking spot.

But in the few seconds that he was gone, Jessica gave birth to the couple’s second child, Lucy, right there in the lobby.

Poor Tom, who missed the entire birth by just seconds, said he was “in shock, absolutely stunned”, that Jessica did it all by herself.

Talking to ITV News, Jessica explained how she put her hand down her pants “and pushed and caught Lucy with one hand” while she “pulled her pants down with the other hand.”

CCTV footage of the entire birth shows Jessica holding herself up against the wall of the hospital’s entrance before catching her baby in one hand – seconds before Tom rushes through the door.

A nurse who had been heading on her break witnessed the scene and came to the couple’s aid. Jessica and Lucy were then wheeled inside the hospital for treatment.
