The video that are certain things Ellie knows and some things she doesn't.
"She knows she's smart, fast, and strong. She knows anything is possible. She doesn't know, however, that the world can be a difficult place for girls" the video explains.
However, Ellie is unaware of certain hard facts about being a woman in today's world.
The video explains that Ellie does not know that "only 11 percent of practising engineers and one-fifth of head chefs are female and that women make up just 5 percent of the artists in the New York Metropolitan Museum's modern art section".
According to the narrative of this moving video, "by age 11, 30 percent of girls will try a diet and 60 percent of girls give up doing something they love because they don't like the way they look."
The point of the video is that, at age five, Ellie is unaware of the harsh realties of life, and that should always be the way.
Girls should grow up feeling empowered, and like they can achieve anything, and see the world through the eyes of a five-year-old.
