It’s so hard for our little ones to leave our sides sometimes. While we appreciate their love for us, it can also make leading our adult lives very difficult.

Model Tamara Ecclestone knows that struggle. Her three-year-old daughter, Sophia Ecclestone-Rutland (Fifi to her parents), is so attached to her loving mum that Tamara must lie to her about going out, the reality star revealed on her new TV show Tamara’s World.

Her glam team came in to get her ready for the night out and the 33-year-old revealed her ingenious plan: get fully done up but stay in pyjamas until little Fifi fell asleep.

“I'm so nervous. I've had the worst anxiety attack,” the socialite said to her hairdresser and makeup artist, “I have to lie. I can't tell her I'm going out... I feel like I'm sneaking out when I was 14!”

That wasn’t the only big step happening in the TV personality's family life. Earlier that day Fifi had gone to school for the first time, and it proved to be a difficult moment for both mother and child.

“I’m just nervous, and in my mind running through all the bad things that might happen,” Tamara said fretfully.

She told her husband, “I'm worried that they'll make her wipe her own poo. She's not ready for that.”

Saying goodbye to Fifi before nursery school certainly wasn’t easy. Despite Tamara’s promise that, ‘If you get sad, you can ask your teacher and mummy will come back and get you early,’ Fifi still cried that she didn’t want to go, throwing a tantrum in their chauffeured car.

It was the first time Tamara and Fifi, who is breastfed, had ever been separated.

“I definitely feel that when I'm with Fifi that I'm at my happiest. And it probably sounds selfish, but I'm unhappy that she'll be away from me,” the daughter of billionaire Bernie Ecclestone told the cameras.

Her husband Jay Rutland said, “She's got to stand on her own two feet at some point.”

“She's a baby, she doesn't have to stand on her own two feet yet," the heiress replied.

Tamara’s World fans took to Twitter with plenty of opinions about the mum and her relationship with her daughter. Many were critical, calling their relationship co-dependent.
