The movie has opened to rave reviews, and Renée Zellweger has revealed that she went deep in order to make her performance in Bridget Jones’ Baby as authentic as possible.

The 47-year-old, who is currently on the promotional trail for the movie, admitted that she watched episodes of One Born Every Minute ahead of filming!

In an interview with James Cordon on The Late Late Show, Renée said: “I met with a midwife and had lots of conversations about the progression of pregnancy. And I watched this show…it’s called One Born Every Minute. It is crazy.”

“It chronicles a woman’s pregnancy right up to birth, and it shows young women and geriatric pregnancies…You get some insight. We poached a little bit from each of those ladies, so ladies thank you,” she explained.

Naturally, there has been a lot of talk about babies during the lead-up to the movie’s release, and Renée inevitably came up against her fair share of dodgy questions.

During one interview, with Extra, the actress was asked if she was ‘craving’ babies. She went on to share the perfect response, insisting that she has never ‘been that deliberate’ about decisions regarding her personal happiness.

Oh, how we missed you, Renée.
