She is no stranger to controversy, but Jennifer Aniston reckoned enough was enough this summer, when she found herself at the centre of pregnancy rumours.

And she’s not the only one who’s fed up of the whole culture of pregnancy speculation – her husband, actor Justin Theroux, is sick of it too.

In an interview with Men’s Health magazine, the 45-year-old admitted that he was ‘proud’ of Jennifer’s response to the rumours, in the form of an open letter on body-shaming.

“It was a rare insight into how disgusting all that is. At some point it becomes bullying,” he said, recalling the flurry of rumours that swirled after Jennifer was photographed in a bikini.

He added: “It sucks when people aim cameras at your stomach on some bizarre womb watch. But more to the point, it’s equally damaging to the national conversation.”

In her open letter, published to The Huffington Post in July, Jennifer said: “For the record, I am not pregnant. What I am is fed up.”

“The sheer amount of resources being spent right now by press trying to simply uncover whether or not I am pregnant…points to the perpetuation of this notion that women are somehow incomplete, unsuccessful, or unhappy if they’re not married with children,” she wrote.

The Friends alum’s powerful letter garnered major praise all over the world, and it seems Justin is one of her greatest champions.
