Sam Faiers’ reality show has garnered its fair share of criticism over the past few months, but The Mummy Diaries appears to have hit peak levels of controversy last night.
Viewers took to Twitter to share their concerns, after Sam went all out to mark their two-year anniversary, and appeared to get NOTHING in return.
Sam’s fans watched her present her other half with a stay in a luxury hotel and a mould of their son Paul’s hands and feet, among other gifts.
Paul, on the other hand, seemed totally surprised by the gesture and didn't appear to have anything to give her in exchange.
The incident sparked outrage in some corners of social media, with many claiming that Paul is not putting the work into their relationship.

“I know she’s in love, but Sam really deserves better! She’s wife material. Paul has two mothers, and Sam two kids,” wrote one concerned viewer.
Meanwhile, another summed up the general consensus by tweeting: “He should be the one to lavish you with gifts, not the other way round. It’s a shame you can’t see it!”
Responding to the backlash over on Instagram, Sam hit out at media outlets for highlighting the ‘very few’ negative comments.
“This week they have dragged up some negative tweets saying Paul didn’t treat me for our anniversary, ‘he doesn’t give a s**t’. Well, actually, he organised something very special for me away from the cameras,” she replied.
