Faye Tozer has skyrocketed her way to the top of the Strictly Come Dancing leaderboard, becoming a firm favourite to win this year’s competition.
Week after week, the Steps member has been waltzing and jiving in both rehearsals and on the dance floor, impressing the judges and the public every time.
The stunning dancer may be loving her time on the show, and who can blame her. We wouldn’t mind twirling around the dancefloor in a stunning ballroom gown with Giovanni.
However, we only ever see the positive side to the beloved BBC show. We don’t see the exhausting late-night’s in the rehearsal room, the battered and blistered feet or the lonely days away from your loved ones.
Faye opened up about the toughest thing about the show in an interview with The Sun. The popstar said that despite the high scores and beautiful routines, life on Strictly isn’t always all sparkles and smiles.
“It’s always tricky being away from home. You just have to keep your head above water,” she shared.
Faye is a mum to nine-year-old Benjamin and there’s no doubt she misses him more and more every day.
“We’ve just got to keep really tight as a family unit and make sure we communicate — I think that’s the only way,” she explained.
The Tragedy singer added, “It is tough being away from home because we miss each other.”
Faye will take to the Strictly dance floor tonight to perform a dazzling waltz with her dance partner Giovanni Pernice.
