If you thought the Halloween candy videos were a hoot, then you will love Jimmy Kimmel’s latest addition to the repertoire.

The chat show host and comedian sent a reporter out onto the streets of New York recently, to hear the story of the Nativity in the words of children – and the results were absolutely hilarious.

While many little ones had a basic grasp of what happened when Mary and Joseph welcomed Baby Jesus into their lives, it seems the story has become a little muddled by popular culture.

To begin with, Santa appears to have featured heavily in the Nativity, to the point where one child believes that he ‘brought Jesus to a tree, and they started to have a little feast’.

And did you know that, apparently, the Virgin Mary left gingerbread cookies out for Santa on the first ever Christmas Eve?

Of course, it’s clear that some kids need to brush up on the real story, before Christmas Eve – one little boy thinks that ‘Jack, the skeleton guy’ was born on the first Christmas!

Needless to say, that story about the ‘miraculous stye remedy’ is the real winning tale, here!
