While Bruce shared his story with the world during a special interview a fortnight ago, the cameras were also on hand to capture his loved ones’ reactions when he finally shared his secret with them.
In an emotionally-charged scene from an episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Bruce’s 19-year-old daughter Kendall is seen breaking down after his big announcement that he is transitioning into a woman.
The model is seen leaving the room in tears, going to get a tissue, then being consoled by Bruce and older sister Khloe upon her return.
While the news may have come as a shock to Kendall, she goes on to pay tribute to Bruce for being an amazing father throughout her life.
“He’s the most amazing person I know. I couldn’t ask for a better dad,” she explains, recalling his dedication in his role as a parent.
“Every single day we went to school 45 minutes away from home, he would drive us to school. He would be the first one in the line to pick us up,” she added, tearfully.
E! is set to run a special episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians dedicated to Bruce’s announcement, and focusing on his family’s reactions.
