While she is famed for her scathing and unapologetic comments, it seems as though mother-of-three Katie Hopkins may be trying to turn over a new leaf.
In the wake of the tragic news of the death of 12-year-old Jessica Lawson, the former Apprentice star has penned an emotionally-charged column directed at the girl’s grieving family.
Writing in her column for The Sun, the 40-year-old said: “Giving birth is the day you understand the meaning of fear…A mother must never lose a child before she dies, lest the natural order of life be disrupted.”
Katie, who recently revealed that one of her daughters has been diagnosed with autism, added: “I’m not sure there are answers for you in France, but there must be comfort in the closeness. Being among her things, smelling the familiarity, hearing her laughing before the quite closes in.”
Thanks everyone for some many kind comments about my column @TheSun - people are either laughing or crying or both. Just like life I suppose

The controversial reality star closed off her open letter with a heartfelt message, writing: “And I just wanted to let you know, as a mum myself, that I am so sorry you have lost your baby.”
Needless to say, social media was caught off guard by Katie’s compassion, and Twitter users have applauded the apparent change in direction of her recent content.
@KTHopkins this article is beautifully written, sat in my car in tears, absolutely the biggest fear of any parent

“Whatever you may think of Katie Hopkins, her column today is the most heartfelt, motherly thing you will read today,” wrote one Twitter user.
