Bolton Steam Museum

About

Bolton Steam Museum has over 27 old stationary steam engines, which our volunteers have rescued from scrap and restored to run in steam once again.
Most of these are running on our occasional Steaming Days. We have a wide range, with many different types of steam engine. Some are now unique – the only engine of this particular type left anywhere in the world! Come and see these magnificent monsters back in action once again! Admission is free (donations welcome!), with free unlimited parking on the Supermarket Car Park. Please note the limited opening days.
