About

From its magnificent Great Hall to its intricately decorated State Rooms, the Palace balances ambitious architecture and delicate detail on a grand scale. Stunning portraits, tapestries and an exquisite collection of furniture grace the Palace interior, set against a backdrop of ornate ceilings and striking stonework.

The tone is set by the huge and imposing wooden doors with their great key, leading the visitor from the Great Court into the Great Hall - one of our architectural glories. Moving on, marvel at the displays of priceless porcelain in the China Ante Room, before arriving at the famous Blenheim Tapestries, which depict the first Duke’s victories at the battles of Blenheim, Ramillies, Oudenarde and Malplaquet.

On Sundays and particularly busy days we operate a free-flow system allowing visitors to explore at their own pace. Tours of the Private Apartments are also available until September for a small additional fee and must be booked on arrival.
