Our working Aviary, extensive grounds and woodland playground are fun and educational for all ages.

We have just installed some exciting new play equipment in the woodland playground including news slides and climbing pieces.

Playing

 

From tiny tots to young teens, children are free to jump, swing, climb, skip and play all day long.  Our playground winds through the trees, making use of the natural environment to create a magical area. Little ones can play in safety at the bottom of the hill, with slides, swings and plenty of soft bark to land in. At the top of the hill is our bird's nest swing, giant green slide, zip wire and other popular equipment.

 

Our working Aviary houses a colourful collection of rare exotic birds, many close to extinction.  Come and learn about where they originate from, and how we breed and protect them. Look out for the resident Rothschild Mynah bird. You are free to join 20 minute talk about the Aviary and its work, with a member of the Aviary Team. 

Our varied events run throughout the year.  From Cookery Schools in February to summer theatre events you can always find something to join in with.
