About

Brora Heritage Centre is just outside the centre of Brora village. There is ample parking and parkland for picnics and energetic youngsters to make the most of its excellent east coast weather. A vending machine in the building offers a choice of tea, coffee or hot chocolate.

Inside the centre, which has full disabled access and facilities, the staff can guide you around the exhibits. Hands-on children's learning panels illustrate the remarkable story of this lively village.

There is a wide selection of exhibits on the local whisky, coal and woollen industry as well as a fabulous display by the local Clyne Heritage Society.

Illustrated with hand painted maps and local artefacts, the exhibition tells the story of the area from stone age times right up to the present day. Anyone interested in genealogy and archaeology shouldn't miss this chance to get an insight into the vast history of one small part of the Highlands.

The Brora Visitor Centre is a 3 star VisitScotland attraction.
