About

Fetlar Interpretive Museum is a small, dynamic community-run museum on the remote island of Fetlar in Shetland. In the museum, you can walk through the many exhibitions on history, archaeology, folklore and wildlife. Especially good for a rainy day is the extensive archive of photographs going back to the 1860s, and documents and diaries from the late 1800s to the present day.

One of the highlights is their interactive computer presentations, created in Fetlar, on Fetlar's history, archaeology, folklore and wildlife. There is also variety of moving films (on video) from the 1930s onwards, and for those with ancestors in the island, why not come and browse their genealogical database.
