About
Reading Museum and Town Hall is a fine example of Victorian gothic architecture. The museum has eleven galleries displaying a fascinating range of objects from our collections and an exciting programme of temporary exhibitions. You can find out more about what you can see and do in the What’s On and Collections areas of the website. Our Concert Hall houses the superb Father Willis Organ and plays host to a programme of events from classical music to comedy.
The family-friendly galleries are accessible to all. Help your child to explore the museum using our trails, worksheets, picture bingo and handling bags. Palmers Cafe and the museum shop are on the ground floor of the museum. The cafe sells Fairtrade tea and coffee, cakes and snacks. In the shop you can browse a range of gifts that includes Huntley & Palmers biscuits and tins, Reading memorabilia and Victorian-style toys.
We welcome all visitors with additional needs, please email us if you have any further questions.
