Scalloway Pool

Scalloway pool was opened April 4th 1993 and is situated next to the Scalloway School. Scalloway is a small village with a population of about 1000, and leisure facilities are offered to all, as well as being popular for surrounding communities.

 

The pool consists of a four lane, 16.7m main pool; a shallow lagoon for toddlers; a whirlpool; and a steam room. The spectator gallery overlooks the pool where you can relax and enjoy a freshly made cup of coffee.

 

Scalloway runs a varied programme of activities and trys to provide something for everyone whether under 5 years old or over 50. The pool staff are proud of the friendly and informal atmosphere which encourages families with young children to take their first steps towards becoming happy and confident in the water, keeping a balance between learning and having fun. Structured swimming lessons are very popular too.
