Kim Cattrall's brother Christopher was found dead at the age of 55 last week.
The 61-year-old actress shared the tragic news via Instagram, writing in a post, "It is with great sadness that myself and my family announce the unexpected passing of our son and brother, Chris Cattrall.
"At this time we ask for privacy but we want to thank you all on social media for your outpouring of love and support in this trying time."
Her Sex and the City co-star Sarah Jessica Parker commented on the post, "Dearest Kim, my love and condolences to you and yours and Godspeed to your beloved brother. Xx."
Cynthia Nixon also sent her sympathies to Kim, writing, "Hey Kim such awful news. So sorry to hear. Sending you love. XO."
Kim posted to Instagram days later saying, "I would like to thank my fans, friends, and my #SexandtheCity colleagues for the outpouring of support for myself and family over the past 72 hours."
Sarah was not among those Kim wanted to thank, though.
The Mannequin actress took to Instagram today to share an image that simply read: "I don't need your love or support at this tragic time @sarahjessicaparker"
In the caption Kim wrote, "My Mom asked me today 'When will that @sarahjessicaparker, that hypocrite, leave you alone?'
"Your continuous reaching out is a painful reminder of how cruel you really were then and now. Let me make this VERY clear. (If I haven’t already)
"You are not my family. You are not my friend. So I’m writing to tell you one last time to stop exploiting our tragedy in order to restore your ‘nice girl’ persona."
Kim told Piers Morgan in an interview before her brother's death that her relationship with Sarah was professional, rather than personal.
The Hocus Pocus actress commented on those remarks on Watch What Happens Live, also before Chris' passing, saying she felt 'just... heartbroken', and that she thought they were closer than that.
Our thoughts are with Kim and her family at this difficult time.
