One of the hardest things to do with kids is the weekly grocery shopping - you can never predict how they will behave.

Lauren Walker, from Glasgow, was shopping in M&S recently, when her baby Alistair began crying so loudly that she thought about leaving.

She approached cashier Mubarak Ahmad, and asked him for help.

And the kind checkout worker gave her one of the best examples of customer service EVER.

Not only did he help Lauren with her shopping, he then opened a till for her, took Alistair in one arm and scanned her shopping with the other.

The little lad was entranced by the groceries going through, and completely calmed down.

Lauren explained how grateful she was for the kind gesture.

"When we reached the checkout, my son was thrilled to see his new friend by screaming 'hiya, hiya' to him!

"He spoke away to him, and then took him behind the till to 'let him help'.

"Thanks to Mubarak, he really made my shopping experience much more enjoyable.

"It really just seemed second nature to him to help in this way and, to be honest, Alistair wasn’t impressed when it was time to leave and he was handed back to me."

We're in awe of this gentleman, and we hope M&S will reward his amazing customer service.
