Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard have always been open about the rules they have when it comes to their children and social media.

The couple are parents to two gorgeous girls - five-year-old Lincoln and two-year-old Delta.

And the one rule that they have is protecting the privacy of celebrity kids, their own included.

While neither of the pair posts much about their little girls on social media, they do upload the odd snap that either makes reference to them or shows them in some way.

Caked with sand on every inch, unshowered for 5 days, and loving that sand dune life #glamis #camping

One such rare picture was posted by Kristen when the family hit the Glamis Sand Dunes in southern California.

The picture shows the two girls, dressed in swimsuits and playing with toys on a blanket.

The girls are close to the camera however their faces cannot be seen due to the sun-bleached nature of the lighting combined with the fact that they have their backs to the camera.

It is captioned, "caked with sand on every inch, unshowered for 5 days, and loving that sand dune life #glamis #camping."

The couples wish to shield their daughters faces from the public is one that they have always been vocal about.

They supported the "No Kids" Policy movement back in 2014, which stood against paparazzi ambushing children of celebrities.

A while back, Dax also tweeted "please boycott magazines that run pics of 'celebrity children.' They shouldn't be punished for who their parents are."

Kristen echoed her husbands statement in an interview shortly after where she said, "I'm telling you right now, we don't want our daughter's face anywhere ever until she decides because I have the utmost respect for her [daughter Lincoln]."

Do you agree with them?
