Anyone who has been involved in a break-up – whether they are the one doing the heart-breaking, or otherwise – will admit that it’s a pretty horrible thing to go through. Well, no one knows this better than Quinn, a five-year-old American girl whose relationship woes have taken the internet by storm.

In the footage, shared to Facebook by mum Sloane Heffernan, Quinn is seen contemplating how awful it’s going to be to break up with her boyfriend – but, really, she has no choice!

The forlorn tot can’t help but let the gravity of the impending break-up get to her as she sits in her car seat, discussing life with her mum.

“He’s sweet and romantic, but I think I’m too young to have a boyfriend,” says Quinn, before adding that she doesn’t want to break his heart.

Admitting that she just doesn’t share the same feelings as her boyfriend, Quinn resigns herself to ending the relationship for once and for all.

“I guess I’ll just tell him – it’s the only thing I can do. I guess I’ll just tell him it’s time to break up,” she tells her mother.

Naturally, the footage has caused quite the commotion online, leaving Facebook viewers touched and highly amused.
