It’s a storyline that we hear again and again; a baby makes a surprise appearance ahead of schedule, and its mum is forced to give birth in often the most unusual of settings and circumstances.

This was certainly the case for baby Lucas Atkinson, who was born to mum Janine at Legoland, of all places!

Janine was on her way to Wexham Park Hospital, in Buckinghamshire, when little Lucas decided that he just couldn’t wait any longer to make his big arrival into the world.

Janine and her partner were forced to pull over at the nearest and safest place – which just happened to be Legoland – and brave staff delivered Lucas in the car park of the famous amusement site.

Proud dad Daniel took to Facebook to share the story, writing: “It’s official, he’s a little Lego man. I’d like to thank the paramedics and all the Legoland staff who were there, we couldn’t have done it without them.”

To mark the extraordinary circumstances of Lucas’ birth, management at Legoland went on to announce that the tot has a lifetime free pass!

“Lucas is the first baby to be born at the Legoland Windsor Resort and we’ve arranged for him to have a lifetime annual pass so he can enjoy unlimited visits to Legoland as he grows up,” read the statement.
