When the chips are down, nothing lifts you up like the unwavering support from your best friend.
Game of Thrones actresses Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams have one such friendship, formed over many years playing the Stark sisters on the hit TV show.
They attend award shows together, they did a Carpool Karaoke session together and now it has emerged that Maisie will be one of Sophie's two bridesmaids at her upcoming wedding to Joe Jonas (no date has been set for this yet).
Williams told RadioTimes.com. “I’ve already got it [a bridesmaid spot],” she said, proudly.
She did reveal that the wedding planning hasn't quite started yet as both actresses still have to finish completing filming Game of Thrones' final season.
"We’re waiting until this season’s done until we get into any of that but I think she’s already let her little heart wander and imagine," she explained.
To be best friends in life as it is on screen is refreshing given that the media are so quick to pit women of the same professions against each other, and Turner's below words about Williams are a testament to the fact that they both choose to remain grounded and supportive, while always being BFFs.
"To have someone who understands what you're going through [as you're adjusting to fame], who's the same age, who came from pretty much the same background—that is so rare. And we've had the same struggles in terms of dealing with body image and puberty and growing up in the public eye. But I found my strength in her, and I think she found her strength in me."
We're certain Williams will be one heck of a bridesmaid.
