In case you didn't know, we are big fans of Margot Robbie over here at MummyPages.

From her can-do attitude to her off-kilter sense of humour to her versatility in roles - she's an absolute star. One second she's infamous figure skater Tonya Harding, the next she's hopping around as the lovable bunny Flopsy!

And now she's taking the producing world by storm. The Aussie actress founded her own production company back in 2014, LuckyChap Entertainment, hoping to bring women's work and stories to the fore.

LuckyChap Entertainment is set to partner with the Australian Broadcasting Company, Hoodlum, and ABC Studios International to create a ten-part series retelling the classic tales of Shakespeare - from the female characters' perspectives.

To watch or not to watch? That is really no question. We are so ready for this fresh perspective on the Bard's works!

According to Deadline, the ten episodes will be standalone instalments, with each one depicting a different work by Shakespeare.

The project, which currently remains untitled, is set to be produced in Australia and led by a female creative team.

"We are thrilled about this Australian partnership as an opportunity to showcase unique, distinctly female voices in writing, and to demonstrate the high quality of the Australian film and television industry," a statement by LuckChap reads.

“The project will share diverse points of view, from writers representing the different cultures and areas within Australia, which many would not readily associate with works of Shakespeare.”

What better way to make Shakespeare's works relevant to modern audiences?

Tracy Robertson from Hoodlum shared in LuckChap's excitement, saying:

"This project will bring together leading and emerging female voices in Australian screen to re-imagine Shakespeare in a modern context... This is an incredibly original and bold approach for a television series and I can’t wait to see the stories that will emerge.”

Do you think you'll be tuning in to this retelling of Shakespeare's tales, mums?
