The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are set to welcome their first child into the world in the coming months and they certainly won’t be following in the footsteps of their fellow royals.
Harry and Meghan are avoiding many royal traditions ahead of the birth of their first born.
Many believe they’ll even opt for a non-traditional family name.
Since announcing their pregnancy in October, the parents-to-be have stressed that they want their son or daughter to live a very normal life out of the public eye.
In order to implement this, they have decided against hiring a nanny to take care of their child. Many members of the royal family have hired help, including Kate and William, but the Sussex’s have opted against hiring a nanny.
They will be enlisting the help of one rather special family member, Meghan’s mum Doria. It has been rumoured that Doria has been contemplating a move to the United Kingdom and it looks like the arrival of her grandchild is the perfect reason to.
It is believed Meghan bought her mum an apartment in London last year, shortly after her wedding to Harry in May.
Harry and Meghan are hoping she will help them with babysitting when they are preoccupied with royal engagements.
Meghan plans on working up until her due date, but we’re sure the mum will be spending plenty of time away from the public eye when her son or daughter is born.
The Duchess of Cambridge stepped away from her royal duties for five months after the birth of Prince Louis in April 2018.
