Some people insist that the one thing you should never ask a woman is her age, but it seems Michelle Obama has no qualms when it comes to questions on the subject.
The First Lady of the United States was not quite prepared for one of the questions posed to her during a Q&A as part of the White House’s Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day, but she handled it wonderfully.
When one little girl inquired as to what age the mother-of-two is, she cringed at first but responded that she is 51.
Michelle is known for her motherly ways when it comes to interacting with young fans, and so when the child declared that she ‘looked too young to be 51’, the First Lady reacted in a way that delighted – but didn’t surprise – the audience that had gathered to hear her speak.
Calling the little girl up onto the stage for a hug, attendees of the event witnessed a truly heartwarming moment between the pair.
We absolutely love Michelle for this – it’s a moment that this little girl won’t forget for a very long time.
