Losing a loved one is always heartbreaking, but it's especially difficult mourning someone at Christmastime, a time that is supposed to be so joyful.
Five years ago today, Peter Andre lost his older brother Andrew to kidney cancer. Andrew was 54 years old.
The 44-year-old singer paid tribute to his big brother in a simple yet touching way today, sharing an image on Instagram that shows two boys in a boat.
The text above the beautiful drawing reads "Siblings will take different paths and life may separate them...but they will forever be bonded by having begun their journey in the same boat".
What a wonderful sentiment.
"Miss you every day my brother," the father-of-four captioned the picture.
The crooner's fans sympathised with his loss.
One person commented, "Absolutely right Pete, beautiful thoughts for a beautiful person."
"I've lost both my mum and dad, but I always try and remember the Christmas memories from when I was younger which make me smile," said another Insta user.
