Earlier today, sixteen women came forward with allegations of sexual harassment against Morgan Freeman.

It is understood that eight women were victims, with the remaining eight witnessing the harassment.

CNN originally reported the claims with one woman sharing that the actor often commented on her body and said he tried to lift up her skirt.

She told CNN that he did this numerous times before his co-star Alan Arkin told him to stop: “Alan made a comment telling him to stop. Morgan got freaked out and didn't know what to say."

Another woman, who worked on his movie Now You See Me shared: “He did comment on our bodies... We knew that if he was coming by not to wear any top that would show our breasts, not to wear anything that would show our bottoms, meaning not wearing clothes that [were] fitted.”

Other women said the actor behaved inappropriately, sharing that he often made sexual comments. They also said there were many issues with unsolicited touching.

Morgan Freeman has since issued an apology since the allegations were made.

The 80-year-old apologised to the sixteen people, stating that he never meant to make anyone feel uncomfortable.

He stated: “Anyone who knows me or has worked with me knows I am not someone who would intentionally offend or knowingly make anyone feel uneasy. I apologize to anyone who felt uncomfortable or disrespected — that was never my intent.”
