While some kids are content to take out their sweetest Princess Elsa or Minnie Mouse costumes for Halloween, other families can’t get enough of the fright-factor.
The following mother-daughter duo clearly love dressing up in the most terrifying costumes for Halloween, and their offering this year has made headlines across the internet.
The unnamed mother, known simply by her Imgur username ‘ChickenToe2’, took to the photo-blogging site to share photos and even a spooky video of her costume – and we’re a little bit speechless.

“My daughter and I are ready for Halloween…or the Apocalypse,” wrote the mother, sharing the terrifying image and video.
She added: “The adult one was inspired by a variety of things. Mad Max, Hardware, Tetsuo: The Iron Man, and Dark Crystal. It’s not ‘from’ anything. Just an animal machine hybrid, and the girl it protects in a dystopian future.”
We don’t know about you, but we are full-on terrified by this get-up!

Needless to say, the duo’s followers were incredibly impressed by the homemade outfits, with one person even describing it as “the best costume I’ve seen to date”.
Well done to them – they will do very well at trick-or-treating, that’s for sure!
