LOVE this!

Mum Belinda Hankins has given us all life with this brilliant text exchange with her 13-year old daughter on the subject of periods, vaginas and patriarchy.

And it escalated quickly. What started out as a hilarious exchange as to the location of tampons, quickly turned into a lesson in girl power.

It started when Belinda’s daughter Isabella was searching for tampons in a shop, and when she couldn’t find them, texted her mum to see if she knew where they were hiding.

And as the texts will show, "hiding" they were.

“THEY’RE NOT HERRREEEE” texted a confused Isabella.

And after even more searching, the tampons remained elusive.

And it’s then clever Isabella makes a very good point. The ‘period paraphernalia’ is hidden away and unlabelled, while a small shelf of joint braces is proudly marked. And we have to agree with her contempt. This ‘pussyfooting’ around periods IS ridiculous.

It's then the 13-year comes out with this wise-beyond-her-years gem: “BUT SERIOUSLY WHY ARE MEN SO AFRAID OF WOMEN AND VAGINAS?? DO THEY THINK IF WE ACKNOWLEDGE THEIR EXISTENCE WE WILL SHOOT OUT LASER ESTROGEN BEAMS OUT OF OUT EYES AT THEM AND DISINTEGRATE THEM WITH EASE?”

Mother and daughter goals right there!

“OK,” wrote a proud Belinda on her Facebook page. “I lied earlier. THIS was the highlight of my parenting week. Sending my 13-year-old daughter into the store for (whispers) “feminine hygiene products”, and having the following text exchange. I died, she gave me life, I died again. And she drew an illustration, on the spot, ON HER PHONE, to drive her point home.”

Belinda and Isabella's text exchange quickly went viral, and her original post has now been shared over 50,000 times.

Move over Rory and Lorelai, there's a new mum - daughter duo in town!

SHARE if this brilliant exchange cracked you up!
