Since setting up her blog in 2014 during her maternity leave, Kellie Kearney’s My Little Babóg has gone from strength to strength.

A lover of books, crafts and shopping, stay-at-home Kellie admits that her blog is her little slice of the web where she rants and reviews.

With two kids to care for, we were delighted when the busy Dublin mum shared her mummy secrets with us!

What is the most important thing you have learned since becoming a mum?

Patience! Sometimes we forget our little beings are learning, exploring and can find it hard to communicate their needs. Sometimes we are exhausted whether its teething, sleep deprivation or we’ve been peed or pooed on yet again, it can be hard to stay calm from time to time. I find counting to ten or if daddy is about I get him to take over while I go take a breather.

What's the most ridiculous/hilarious/unbelievable thing your child has done?

I should really stop telling this story, but the most hilarious thing my child has done was tell everyone that her mammy wore nappies. The lollipop lady, her grandparents, the lady in our local shopping centre, they all heard about ‘mammy's nappies’.

What's the weirdest thing you've said/done as a parent?

One of the most recent weirdest thing I’ve ever done is drank my babies first curls, please note this was not intentional.

Name one thing you do that helps keep you sane?

A coffee, cappuccino or latte at any temperature or reheated numerous times in the microwave.

What is the best piece of advice you would give to other mums?

Don’t let anyone tell you you’re holding your new-born baby too much. The first few weeks are so important for mummy, daddy and baby bonding. There’s no such thing as spoiling a baby.

If you had to choose just one thing that you absolutely love about being a mum, what would it be?

I love when I hear the pitter-patter of feet across the wooden floors past midnight and my five-year-old sneaks in beside me for cuddles. These little moments won’t last forever and it’s the small things like this that I treasure.
