After spending nine years in the army, mum-of-one Sophie Parry decided to give it all up and become a stay-at-home mum.

Admitting that she started her blog off as an online diary, she now loves writing about her life with her two-year-old daughter, Matilda, and her husband.

Throughout Mum, M and More you really get a sense of Sophie’s love of baking and crafts along with her interest in fashion and taking photos.

Clearly a very busy woman we were delighted when Sophie took time out of her day to let us in on her parenting secrets.

What is the most important thing you have learned since becoming a mum?

The most important thing I have learned is patience. I am notorious for being impatient - if I would like something done or would like to buy it, I have to do it there and then. If I ask hubby to put up a shelf, I want it done last week! With M (Matilda) though, I have learned to let her do her things at her own pace, even if it annoys me when she takes 20 minutes to find the jigsaw piece that's in front of her nose!

What's the most ridiculous/hilarious/unbelievable thing your child has done?

M is hilarious everyday. She comes out with the funniest things and pulls the most hilarious faces! A true character.

What's the weirdest thing you've said/done as a parent?

Every day I say things that I can't believe I'm saying. Mostly when M does something silly or naughty and I think, I never thought I'd say that!!

Name one thing you do that helps keep you sane?

One thing that keeps me sane is blogging - it is great to just write and get things off my chest. And getting comments off other bloggers is so lovely and make me feel happy!

What is the best piece of advice you would give to other mums?

My best piece of advice would be to just go with the flow. Don't push your children into anything - they do their own things at different rates!

If you had to choose just one thing that you absolutely love about being a mum, what would it be?

The one thing I love about being a mum is the cuddles and affection that M gives me. I love just sitting on the sofa and having cuddles - it's just pure love!
