Homecomings really put the magic into the festive season, and one woman was in for a very heartwarming surprise when her son arrived home for the holidays last weekend.
Eva Goeb was surprised and delighted when she opened her front door to find that son Donny and his wife, Miranda, had returned from the army for Christmas – but that wasn’t all they had in store.
The couple had secretly adopted a daughter, Melissa ‘Lily’ Faith, and they hadn’t told their families anything about the process. This is why, when Eva is presented with her new granddaughter, she has the mother of all freak-outs!
Donny and Miranda recorded the moment that Eva met her 10-day-old granddaughter, and her reaction is just absolutely priceless.
Indeed, so overwhelmed is Eva that she doesn’t even bat an eyelid when Donny tells her that he almost got shot!
One thing’s for sure; it’s going to be an amazing Christmas in the Goeb household this year!
