We've all done fairly mad things as parents: driven to school in our pyjamas, popped to the shop with mismatched shoes on or sucked snot out of a baby's nose when they have a cold.

So, when we came across this Instagram post we couldn't help but nod along - because we would totally do the same as well!

Blogger TheMumConnection really wanted to get her hands on a particular Aldi rocking chair.

However, being a 'special buy', there would only be a few on offer, so this Australian mum knew she had to be quick.

And quick she was; making sure she got to her local store before it even opened, the mum was determined to go home with one of these chairs.

"I arrived to @aldiaustralia bright and early before the doors opened and the line up was insane!" she wrote.

"As a mum, determination and perseverance are two of my finer qualities and I refused to leave without one of these babies."

However, when the doors were finally opened, the mum realised that there were only FOUR chairs on the floor. FOUR.

Describing the scene, she continued: "The doors opened and it was on like King Kong! There were people running around like chickens with their heads cut off."

"There were only FOUR chairs on the floor which I wasn't quick enough to get BUT LUCKILY I found an Aldi worker near the back dock and other people followed behind me."

Sooooo.... THIS happened this morning! & let me tell you, it was not as easy as walking in and choosing what I wanted. No no no. I arrived to @aldiaustralia bright & early before the doors opened and the line up was insane! As a mum, determination & perseverance are two of my finer qualities & I refused to leave without one of these babies. The doors opened and it was on like King Kong! There were people running around like chickens with their heads cut off. There was only FOUR chairs on the floor which I wasn't quick enough to get BUT LUCKILY I found an Aldi worker near the back dock & other people followed behind me. I LOCKED IN ONE OUT OF TWO, OUT THE BACK & I had an argument with a woman as she tried to explain why she deserved it over me: na-ah hunny! It was mums gone wild let me tell you. I then, put it in a trolley & wheeled it home - yay for my hubby being at work (luckily I don't live tooooo far). The extreme measures I go to for things I want is actually unbelievable, no gym for me today. My workout is done  who managed to score one as well? #aldiaustralia #specialbuysataldi #aldifinds #aldigram #mumsgonewild #aussiemum #mumlife #quoteoftheday #instamum #motherhoodunplugged #parenting #themumsconnection #instadaily #mumlife #quoteoftheday #instamum #motherhoodunplugged #parenting #themumsconnection #instadaily #bestofmum #motherhoodthroughinstagram #motherhoodrising #unitedinmotherhood #mumandmetime #supportsystem #womanpower #mumtomum #mumlifeproject #mumssupportingmums #positivevibesonly #instablogger #mumblogger #lifewithkids #sydneymums

Thankfully, the mum managed to get her hands on one of the two that were in the back, but only after she had had an argument with another woman who believed SHE deserved the chair instead.

Delighted with her purchase, she put the chair in a trolley and wheeled it home.

We all do pretty crazy things when faced with a bargain... and, yes, we would totally do the same thing!
