The mum posted a topless photograph, but what struck us was the beautiful sentiment which was portrayed across her chest.
A striking gold and red wonder woman logo covered her entire chest.
The real-life role model is an example to all as she made the huge decision to have preventative surgery.
Two years ago, Kelly's mum found out she had breast cancer a second time, getting tested for the breast cancer gene, it was found both Kelly and her sister also carried the gene.
Kelly watched her mum go through treatment all over again, making the massive decision to have a preventative bi-lateral mastectomy, as she wanted to tackle the problem head on, taking the power back.
Nonetheless, even though it was the mum who made the decision, having both breasts removed was a huge step to undertake, with Kelly contemplating the effect it would have on her everyday life.
But the mum done something which she hadn't expected; she didn't opt for breast reconstruction post surgery.
Instead - she had the wonder woman logo tattooed across her entire chest, placed within a phoenix, thus proving how strong you can be when faced with tough decisions.
Kelly stated: "I still have a long way to go (10 months post pbm). But I WILL be strong again."
Inspiring others, Kelly took to Instagram to show off the creation in an effort to help other mums know that you too can take the same step if you're worried, because you too hold the power.
What a super, courageous mum.
