When we give birth to our little ones, we are then given the choice whether we would like to breastfeed or bottle feed.

For many mums its a tough decision, because they are going to feel judged no matter what choice they make.

When mums choose to bottle feed they are frowned upon because 'breast is best', but when they choose to breastfeed, they are continuously berated for where they do so.

It's one of those lose, lose, situations.

While it's no one else's business, unfortunately, you do half expect this kind of behaviour from strangers, but to hear it from family or friends, that's surely the point of exhaustion.

One mum who chooses to breastfeed her kids was the subject of such condemnation recently when attending a friend's wedding.

The mum has two children, a two-year-old and a three-month-old.

According to Breastfeeding Mama Talk, her original plan was to leave her kids with her friend who could wet nurse her baby while her husband and herself could enjoy the wedding.

But with her husband being best man at the wedding, the bride-to-be wasn't impressed the children wouldn't be attending, therefore Mum had to change her plans.

However, that wasn't the only thing this mama was going to be told on the day!

Receiving a note with her wedding invitation, the mum was 'politely' told where she needed to breastfeed her baby: "To all our mummies who are breastfeeding, we are thinking of you."

"We are sensitive to the fact you may need to breastfeed during our event, therefore we have designated an appropriate place for you to feed your baby so you do not have to do so in public, in front of our family and friends."

If that wasn't enough the letter goes on to reveal the couple have generously come up with a nice seating area in the bathroom where you can sit privately and breastfeed, requesting this be the only place mothers will breastfeed their babies.

The mum in question feels she is in a bind as she wants to be nice, but states: "No way in hell I will leave and nurse her in the bathroom, I don't eat in the bathroom, I'm not feeding my child in there!"

Page administrators also voiced their opinion on the issue, not holding back at their disdain: "This is disgusting, but unfortunately this is not surprising. It's never okay to expect or demand that a mum breastfeed in a private area."

We can totally understand where she is coming from too, this mum isn't the first in the world to breastfeed, and certainly won't be the last as it's a natural course.

We're firm believers it's each to their own when it comes to feeding your baby - and no mum should ever be shamed or told where they can and can't feed their child.

Do you think the soon-to-be wed couple were rude to request such a thing?
