We all have those days. The days where nothing seems to be going right; the house has been hit by a mess bomb, no one will eat the carrots you've artfully snook into their dinner, and there is not a single pair of matching socks.

It's one of those days where you just want to shut yourself in the bathroom and cry.

That's a feeling mum-of-two and blogger, Mel Watts, understands all too well.

Because sometimes no matter how much you try they’ll test you, they’ll hurt you like you haven’t felt that kind of hurt, they’ll make you question everything and you’ll do crazy things like throw the Xbox off the balcony. But then you’ll cry alone, a lot and your head will pound. You realise one day you’ll have to pay for a new xbox and that in hindsight their behaviours aren’t always a bad reflection of them, just a bad choice. Just like that one time you made a bad decision, it was a bad decision, not a reflection of your true self. I’m forever learning, adjusting, regretting and trying my hardest not to fuck it up (or him preferably) but maybe that’s what parenting is in the end. A bunch of fuck ups, a pool of tears, tired eyes, always reflecting and tying so hard to respect the person they are, but also apologising for their behaviours. And one day they’ll turn out to be decent members of society who’ll love you and themselves. And before you know it they’re adults crying about their children. #thecircleoflife #parentingisntmyforte

But, every parents is human too, we make mistakes and we're learning along with them.

So true. Remember, mums, a bad day does not make you a bad parent. You got this, mama.
