While Christmas brings joy and cheer, it also. as most of us mums know, brings frustration, stress and miles upon miles of broken fairy lights - something which one particular mum from Shropshire was eager to communicate to a particular clothing company.

Flicking through a catalogue for clothing company, Boden, Ania O' Riordan was a little taken aback by their depiction of a woman's festive preparation in the lead-up to December 25th.

As opposed to merely sighing and turning the page like most might, Ania decided to make her feelings known and sent a message to the company suggesting they were in dire need of a more realistic approach.

"Dear Boden. Whoever thought this was a realistic portrayal of your customers hit the egg nog hard and early," she began in a message which has been praised across various social media platforms.

“Where is the dust that's followed her down from the loft? Why is she in her underwear? And tell me how she found time to fake tan her legs and get them waxed," pleads Ania in an unveiled jab at media's depiction of womanhood.

Offering assistance with future advertising campaigns, Ania finished: "If you ever need a more realistic representation of your average customer, ie a 43 year old working mum who is 5ft 3 short with dark circles under her eyes, wearing leggings and a big baggy jumper who is usually covered in all manner of substances including her toddlers lunch, sick etc I'm your woman."

Ania's message has sparked numerous responses with hundreds of women wholeheartedly agreeing before sharing more realistic snaps of their own Christmas prep online.

And it looks like Boden, who swiftly contacted Ania, were more than grateful for the advice, saying; "We have passed on your comments to the marketing team. Thank you for giving us the biggest laugh of the year! Best wishes. All at Boden x"

Perfect!
