It’s been a turbulent week for superstar Janet Jackson as it was reported last week she is splitting from her husband of five years and father of her son, Wissam Al Mana.
But there’s still one person who can put a smile on her face - her adorable three month old son Eissa.
Until now we’ve never seen a proper photo of the tot but yesterday proud mum Janet shared a gorgeous photo of her and her son, with the caption “My baby and me after a nap.”
Little Eissa, born on January 3, was clearly still feeling sleepy, as he was mid-yawn during the photo.
It’s an unusual move from Janet, who has been absent from social media for months and normally keeps her private life under wraps.
It’s believed Janet split from the Qatari billionaire business magnate due to “busy schedules.”
A source told The Mail on Sunday last weekend: "Sadly, Janet and Wissam have decided that it wasn't working and to go their separate ways.
"They’re both busy people but determined to be good parents, even if they’re apart.
"It’s amicable and Eissa will stay with his mother, who is basing herself in London."
Neither Janet, 50, nor Wissam, 42, have confirmed or denied the split rumours.
According to TMZ, if the couple do decide to divorce, their settlement could be quite complicated.
They were married for five years in February and are believed to have had a pre-nuptial agreement to protect their interests. Janet’s worth is valued $175 million while Wissam has an estimated net worth of $1 billion.
Typically the longer the duration of a marriage, the larger the pre-nuptial settlement. So it may take the couple some time to make a settlement.
Janet who has been married three times, lamented her “unlucky love life” in the past.
Wissam is Janet’s third husband. The superstar was previously married to singer James DeBarge in 1984 but the pair split the following year and the marriage was later annulled.
Her second husband was Mexican back-up dancer Rene Elizondo. They were married for nine years but spilt in 2000. It’s believed Rene received $10 million dollars in the divorce settlement.
It was rumoured the singer had converted to her husband’s religion, Islam, after she was photographed wearing a headscarf but notoriously private Janet never confirmed this. It appears Wissam is turning to his faith to get him through this difficult time as the businessman has updated his website with a spiritual quote from the Quran.
