Yes, that's right.

Your babies sobs may indicate what they'll sound like when they're yelling at you as an adult. Oh, the joys. (!)

Science boffins in the UK and France have been looking into how a young babies cry can show how they will sound later on in life.

According to Discover, the study published in the journal Biology Letters found that the pitch of an infant's cry at four months old indicated how they sounded at five years of age.

Crazy, huh?

They also found that over 40 percent of vocal differences at five years old could be explained by vocal differences when the children were infants.

Nicolas Mathevon, a professor at the University of Lyon in France and co-author the study spoke to The New York Times about the findings.

He said, ''in utero, you have a lot of different things that can alter and impact your life - not only as a baby, but also at an adult stage.''

''This explains a lot, but not all,” he added. “It’s only half the story I would say.”

Mathevon also took part in a study in 2016, that was published in the journal Royal Society Open Science

It uncovered that a child's voice at seven years old is one of the strongest indicators of how it will sound when they are fully grown.

The research that the pitch of their voice at just seven years explained 64 percent of the difference of their voice when they're older, even after takng into account other factors, such as sex, size, and weight.

Make sure to have a good listen next time your little one starts bawling.
